Off To A Strong Start.

Buju Banton is a very successful reggae Artist from the beautiful island of Jamaica, located in the Caribbean. What contributed to his success as a reggae Artist is his versatility, in combination with a natural love for humanity. He can bring you conscious hits, romantic slow jams, speak out against political injustice, immorality and paint a perfect picture of life in the slums with an awareness of repercussions associated.

He was recently released on a drug trafficking charge which landed him seven years in prison. His career seem to be taking off pretty strong, with his long walk to freedom tour. He can also be seen wearing a supreme t-shirt, which may be an actual sign of  sponsorship. You can also see he has a variety of support from a lot of mainstream Artists including DJ Khalid, who was nominated for best hip hop album of the year recently.

DEEP IN THOUGHT

The Audience Is A Lot More Accepting.

You have to admit Buju doesn't look the same. Seven years away from society locked away isolated discomfort can take a toll on any musicians career, but  he will have to adjust to these changes, unless he has the ability to bring the modern day audience, to his level of consciousness.

One adjustment that's apparent will be his ability to embrace and respect homosexuality, as well as accept it as a product of modern society and not a condemned immoral act. Or at least, not display any of the above mentioned in his music.
