Wisconsin's Stay At Home Order Politicized

In this Article we take a look at both sides. Democratic & Republic. Conservative state Supreme Court justice Rebecca Bradley suggested in a recorded video yesterday that the extension of the state’s stay-at-home order was the “definition of tyranny” and compared it to U.S. internment camps for Japanese-Americans during World War II. Tony Evers Administration argued that people will die if the order is removed. GOP lawmakers are contesting the Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm’s authority to issue an order that took a toll on schools and nonessential businesses and curbing resident’s ability to travel and gather in groups.

As of March 2020 they have an unemployment rate of 3.6%.

Wisconsin is a Midwestern s state with coastlines on Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Along with that they can brag of having interior forests and farms. Milwaukee, the largest city, is known for their Public Museum, with its re-created international villages, the Harley-Davidson Museum, and Several beer companies that offer brewery tours. As of 2019 they have a population 5.822 million. Their Capital is Madison and their current Democratic Governor goes by the name of Toney Evers. As of March 2020 they have an unemployment rate of 3.6%. It sounds like a beautiful place. The reason Wisconsin is a topic of discussion on this segment is two very credible women in my eyes are at odds. In a time like this where we should all come together, make accommodation and negotiate, basically put our differences to the side to accomplish one basic goal, this pandemic seems to be dividing us more. We see the Trump Administration blaming China, China Blaming our Special Forces and I just read an article saying that Iran help spread the virus through air travel the list goes on. The way I feel is we solve the crisis first. Maybe somewhere in between solving the issues we may find the truth, and then see if we want to hold somebody accountable. Now it’s safe to assume that the current goal is to lower the infection rate immediately. This concept makes sense since it should buy us time to come up with a solution. Then you start spending all this money on research, once you hit a breakthrough. The next area of focus should be mass affordable production, since we want to make sure every man woman and child in every social class can get it, while stabilizing the economy. Once all this has been accomplished then we can play the blame, hold accountability game and work it out in world court. We haven’t even gotten to that level yet. Now if you’re unaware of what I’m making reference to I’m talking about The State of Wisconsin resorting to legal measures to undo the state’s stay at home restrictions.

GOP lawmakers are contesting the Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm's authority

They argued that she doesn’t have the authority to issue and enforce such an order. The Evers Administration responded that the state’s Department of Health Services has the power “to do whatever is necessary to combat a novel, deadly, communicable disease like the one we’re facing today.” The questions I have for my audience is do you think that the Covid-19 pandemic is being politicized? Here is why I ask. On April 7th, Democrat Gov. Tony Evers tried to alter the way the election was conducted by urging that it be done entirely by mail to prevent the spread, but was shot down by the Republican-led Legislature and conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court, despite 52 people testing positive during the Wisconsin Presidential Primaries. With regards to Covid-19 infection, generally patients begin exhibiting symptoms within 14 days of being exposed to the virus. All individuals who contracted corona virus and attended the election on April 7th tested positive by April 21. Due to the fact that there is a possibility that several of these people could have potentially been exposed to the virus by other means unrelated to the election, Julie Willems Van Dijk, whom heads the state health agency, said they won't continue to include the polling sites as part of contact tracing for future corona virus cases because too much time has passed. These factors provided Republicans with the low number of cases tied to the election, technically proving that voting was done safely, despite calls from Democrats prior to move the date amid warnings of a spike in positive cases. Mark Jefferson, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Republican Party went on to reiterate in referring to the Democratic Party, “They sought to exploit a global pandemic to fit their narrative and failed,” said Mark Jefferson, executive director of the Wisconsin Republican Party.
